The 2020 Château Sociando-Mallet offers a classic Haut-Médoc profile with considerable structure and aging potential. On the nose, it is rich with dark fruit aromas of blackcurrant and plum, complemented by notes of cedar, chocolate, graphite, and leafy tobacco. The palate is full-bodied and concentrated, with a deep core of ripe fruit supported by firm, refined tannins that promise excellent longevity. Despite its brawny, powerful style when young, it shows plenty of concentration and a layered mid-palate that will develop with time. It finishes long and polished, demonstrating the wine's depth, tension, and classic Left Bank character.
