The estate's history is rooted in over five decades of organic farming in Napa Valley, beginning when Jack and Athene Neal moved to Rutherford in 1966. Mark Neal grew up working alongside his father and officially co-founded Jack Neal & Son Vineyard Management in 1968, a company that became a pioneer in organic viticulture long before it was industry standard. In 1998, Mark realized a long-held family dream by establishing Neal Family Vineyards, a boutique operation that remains wholly family-owned and operated.
