The great historic estate of Francesco Rinaldi e Figli was founded in 1870 by Giovanni Battista Rinaldi, the father of Francesco and legendary estate Giuseppe Rinaldi's namesake founder. This traditionalist produces his two flagship Cru in Barolo, Brunate and Cannubi. The structure and sophisticated finish of these wines are impressive.
Francesco Rinaldi’s entry level wines are superb examples of their genres, with impressive depth, and balance. The Grignolino is refreshing and delicious! Light in color, it offer plenty of red berries with a positive tartness attached to its edgy tannins. Grignolino varietal originates from Monferrato, but thrives is Asti. Dry, sandy soil with clay and limestone being some of the characteristics of the terroir.
